Island Creatives is a company born out of necessity. In 2016 I sold my thriving hot glass studio and gallery in Mukilteo, WA and began pondering what form the next creative inspiration might take.

In spring of 2019, my husband and I found the house and land of our dreams in charming Merville, BC on Vancouver Island. With the move back to Canada ( I was born in London, Ontario), I looked forward to creating artistic sculptures for the garden again. Without a glass studio, the search began for a new medium that would suit my needs.

In 2017 I first heard about Pal Tiya Premium. The company had a booth at an annual trade show that I’d regularly attended. I was impressed with everything I learned about the medium and was excited to learn that large weatherproof outdoor sculptures are so easy to make with Pal Tiya Premium! The only limitation I have found is my own imagination!

After attending a Master Class in Sculpture taught by Kim Beaton who is the owner/inventor of Pal Tiya Premium, I felt compelled to continue to play, explore and share Pal Tiya Premium with other artists. I am excited to show how versatile this new medium is and how it can overcome previous limitations of other sculpting materials.
