We are pleased to announce we are finally able to hold sculpture classes!
Introduction to Pal Tiya: A game changer
For those who are interested in an easy to use sculpture medium to create 3D pieces that do not require molds, kilns, or heavy armature this is the perfect workshop for you. Pal Tiya is a nontoxic material that works like clay and cures harder than concrete. Pal Tiya pieces can be placed indoors and outdoors in all weather without any damage.
We will begin the class learning how to properly mix Pal Tiya and use tools to create a detailed fairy door. You will then learn how to properly finish and cure your pieces and paint or add more decorative touches.
Then we will use cardboard and tin foil to create an armature for making a mushroom and create different tooling textures and finishes. We will provide everything you need to create these pieces and you will have the opportunity to purchase your own tools and extra Pal Tiya to create more sculptures at home at the end of class.
Barb Sanderson will be teaching the class. She is a sculptor for over 20 years and has completed the Pal Tiya Master Class with Kim Beaton. Here’s a link to more of her background and experience. I
